About
Dr. Yash Guleria is an Assistant Professor at the School of Management, Indian Institute of Technology Mandi. His research lies at the intersection of artificial intelligence, data science, and decision-making under uncertainty, with a focus on developing robust, trustworthy, and human-centered intelligent systems. His work spans machine learning, reinforcement learning, natural language processing, generative AI, and human-AI collaboration, with applications in complex operational and safety-critical environments. Before joining IIT Mandi, he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Air Traffic Management Research Institute (ATMRI), Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, where he worked on retrieval-enhanced in-context learning and LLM-based methods for air traffic conflict resolution, digital ATCO assistants, and complex scenario generation. He received his Ph.D. from NTU on machine learning-based decision support, conformal automation, and human-AI teaming for complex systems. His broader research agenda emphasizes the design of AI systems that are not only technically effective but also interpretable, reliable, and acceptable to human decision-makers.
